Materials used and Safety Steps taken in Clamshell Factory

We all are aware of clamshell packaging, but are super confused when it comes to the material that are used in clamshell packaging factory! Let’s take a look at them.

Thermoforming polymers come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Most clean-up programmes are shaped by the usage of pvc, rpet, petg, and styrene, however there are a variety of plastic options:

High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS)

· It's a low-cost, sturdy plastic that's easy to mould and print on.

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) (Polyvinyl Chloride)

· Because of its wide range of qualities, it is one of the most widely used polymers on the planet.

Polyethylene Terephthalate- PET

· A safe, recyclable packaging material that has been recognised all across the world.

PETE is another name for PETE.

· PETG is a glycol-modified PET that has greater sealing and durability than standard PET. RPET

PET that has been recycled. P.P. (polypropylene)

· A versatile material that can be used in a wide range of packaging applications. Polyurethane

HDPE (High Density Polyethylene)

· Another adaptable material that can be used in a variety of packaging applications.

Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene- ABS

· Plastic that is moderately heat resistant.

Electrostatic discharge- ESD

· A material with a low static electricity resistance that is ideal for the electronics industry. Conductivity

PLA TM (Polylactic Acid)

· A plastic material with a particular pattern that conducts a little quantity of electricity.

Blister Packer Operation Safety Precautions

Now that you know the materials involves let’s take a look at the precautions taken at the clamshell packaging factory

Requirements for Safe Blister Packer Operation:
  1. Complete the batch log and device operation log in a timely way while operating the blister packer.
  2. Avoid burns by being cautious of hot parts of moulded components and heat-sealed parts.
  3. Using foreign items or hands on moving parts is strictly prohibited to avoid mishaps.
  4. To avoid friction with other moving parts, cable damage, short circuits, and leaks, check the wire harness connections on a regular basis.
  5. Molding, heat sealing, dents, and other parts should not be subjected to excessive pressure in order to prolong the life of the packaging machine.
  6. If you're about to open the blister packer, raise the preheating temperature of each heated portion. The set temperature guarantee function can be reduced to safeguard the heating element after the operation is stable.
  7. Maintain a clean and attractive blister packer. Avoid scratching or knocking the stainless steel surface with harsh objects.
  8. Do not obstruct the motion channel with material.
  9. Safeguard the mould, cutting tool, and anilox plate that has been heat sealed.
  10. If the blister packer's functioning is irregular during the packaging process, it should be turned down in a timely manner so that it can be restarted after troubleshooting.
  11. Press the emergency stop button to close the compressed air and cooling water valves when you're finished.
